TruckX 2017: Co-located with FleetX and IMHX at Kyalami Race Track
TRUCKX is growing bigger and bigger – and this year Africa’s premier forum for the commercial transport industry aims to strengthen the way in which decision makers receive the insights that help them to keep the wheels of commerce turning.
To be held on July 12 and 13 at the Kyalami Race Track, Midrand, TRUCKX will be joined by two other major events – FLEETX and IMHX, each of vital importance to various sectors of the transport industry. The three events will provide extensive networking opportunities over the two-day programme.
Event sponsors Standard Bank and Ctrack by Inseego, which has been with TRUCKX since inception, are gearing up for a remodeled conference and show. In its fourth year, TRUCKX promises to deliver a wealth of information to the continent’s trucking, fleet, materials handling and logistics industries.
“We have seen what started as a conference quickly encompass a fully-fledged expo for transport owners and operators. The addition of FleetX widens the appeal even further to include fleet owners that operate light commercial vehicles as well,” said Hein Jordt, MD of Ctrack South Africa.
DAY ONE, JULY 12, sees the conference and show open with an enviable line-up of speakers and exhibits, from cars and light commercials to heavy and extra heavy vehicles and even racing trucks, many of which will be available for test drives around Kyalami’s handling track.
Vehicle displays will be supported by exhibits from a variety of service providers, among them tanker and trailer manufacturers; tyre suppliers; parts distributors; telematics, insurance and finance providers; fuel and lubricant companies; refrigerated transport specialists; driver training and road safety advisers; environmental agencies and fleet service experts. If it’s got to do with transport, mobility or materials handling, we’ll make every effort to ensure it’s there!
The TRUCKX Conference, aimed at owners and operators of trucks and heavy vehicles, will see a power house line-up of speakers and panelists who will address a variety of topics pertinent to the sector – from choosing the right road to profitability to AARTO updates; from the importance of truck safety compliance to autonomous drive vehicles; from the impact of the Internet of Things on logistics operators to the benefits of technology in reducing on-road costs.
With the conference scheduled to run from 9.00 am to lunchtime, there will be plenty of opportunity in the afternoon for delegates to explore the exhibits, test drive vehicles, network with colleagues and experience the best of what South Africa’s commercial transport industry has on offer.
Similarly, DAY TWO, JULY 13, will be devoted to representatives of the fleet industry, with the programme following much the same format. “In fact, this day will benefit operators of any size fleet or vehicle type,” added Jordt.
The FLEETX Conference, aimed at owners and operators of passenger and light commercial fleets, will begin at 9:00 am.
Again, a top-notch line-up of speakers and panelists will address topics pertinent to the sector – from breeching new mobility frontiers to why fleet managers should think like bankers; from the benefits of driver monitoring to tailoring fleets to meet specific business needs; from overcoming the burden of vehicle management to the value of reconditioning in preserving vehicle life.
The afternoon will be set aside to offer delegates the chance to explore the exhibits, test drive vehicles and network with colleagues.
